ADMISSION NOTIFICATION

[Entrance Test for B.Ed. [SE] Programme – 2021-22]

THE UNIVERSITY INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION INTO B.ED. [SPECIAL EDUCATION]

PROGRAMME THROUGH ENTRANCE TEST.

(Recognized by UGC & Approved by RCI)

ELIGIBILITY:

1. The Candidate should be an Indian Citizen.

2. Candidates with at least 50% of marks either in the Bachelors Degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A./B.Sc. Home Science)/BBM or in the Masters degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/Humanities (relevant subject of Pedagogy) are eligible. B.E./ B.Tech. with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission into the programme. However the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PWD should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

3. However, weightage will be given to the candidates fulfilling any one of the following conditions:

• Parent of a child with disability, possessing Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
• Person with disability possessing Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
• Possession of any RCI approved Diploma/Degree.

4. The reservation for SC/ST/BC/PWD categories shall be as per the rules in vogue.

NOTE:

(i) As per the GOMS.No:92 and G.O.Ms.No.13 and RCI norms the candidate who passed MBBS/BDS/BPT/ BAMS/BL/LLB/B.Pharm./BHMT/BVSC/B.Sc.(AG)./B.A(Languages)/BOL etc. and other such professional and Job Oriented courses are not eligible for admission into B.Ed.(SE) Programme. 

(ii) B.Ed.(SE) Programme is offered in three Specializations. Viz.

• Visual Impairment(VI)
• Hearing Impairment(HI)
• Intellectual Disability (ID)

The candidate has to choose any one Specialization.

(iii) Candidate can shift their Area of Specialization i.e. VI/HI/ID at the time of Admission as per their interest and availability of the seats in left over vacancies as per merit after counseling

Date & Time of Entrance Test	Entrance Test will be held on 20-03-2022 from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM at Regional Co-Ordination Centers of the University.
Medium	English & Telugu
Tuition Fee	Rs.30,000/- to be paid at the time of Admission [for the entire Programme of Two and Half Years [5 Semesters]
Course Duration	Two and Half Academic Years [5 Semesters]
Syllabus for Entrance Test	The Entrance Test Question Paper will have 2 parts for 100 Marks with 100 Objective Type [Multiple Choice] questions. Part-A : General English Comprehension [40 Marks] Part-B : General Mental Ability: Logical & Analytical Reasoning: Verbal & Abstract Reasoning [60 Marks].
Registration to appear the Entrance Test	Register ONLINE through University Website www.braou.ac.in / www.braouonline.in and pay the Registration Fee Rs.600/- through Debit/Credit Card OR Rs.635/- through any AP/TS ONLINE Franchise Centers located across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Registration Procedure:

Candidates have to register at www.braouonline.in only and pay the fee of Rs.600/- [Rupees six

hundred only] by Debit/Credit card through university portal OR pay an amount of Rs. 635/- [Rupees six hundred and thirty five only] at any TS/AP Online Franchise Centre and obtain the receipt. Candidate has to choose the examination centre as per their choice to appear for the Entrance test. They are advised to download the hall ticket two days before the date of Entrance Test from the university website www.braou.ac.in

1. The University reserves the right to allot candidates to any other Entrance Test Centers(s) in unavoidable circumstances.
