School Education-Aided – Continuous declining of students enrollment in Schools - Certain instructions– Issued
All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the District Educational Ofcers in the state are invited to the references read above, and they are informed that in the reference 12th read above instructions were issued to issue notice to the aided schools where there has been a declining trend in the enrollment from the last two years.
In this connection, in the reference 13th cited instructions were issued to all the DEOs and RJDSEs to give one more opportunity to the correspondents of Primary / UP / High Schools where the school strength has been declining consistently during 2019-20 and 2020-21 to improve their enrollment during current academic year and if the managements have failed to improve by 30-09-2021, the competent authorities shall take necessary further action as per Acts and rules duly observing the norms of access to the schools to the habitations as per the Rules issued under RTE and also as per G.O.Ms.No.1, dated 01 01-1994, further the said date was extended upto 31.10.2021.
The admission into schools were completed by 31-10-2021 and the child info was updated. Based on the updated information of admissions and enrollment, it is observed that, out of (840) private aided schools, (418) schools have failed to improve their enrollment.
Hence action shall be taken on the (418) schools that reported decline in enrollment (list enclosed) as per Rule 10(17) of G.O.Ms.No.1, Edn. Dated 01.01.1994 i.e. the enrollment have decreased in the academic years 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22.
Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the District Educational Ofcers in the State are instructed to initiate action as per rule 10 (17) of G.O.Ms.No.1 and submit compliance report.
